My Students

Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. Flexible seating gives them the freedom and movement they require at such a young age to help them focus while enjoying their environment.

My students are 6-7 years old, and they spend many hours a week in a classroom.

Giving them seating choices that wobble and move, allows them to be expressive and have some fun while learning.

My Project

Flexible seating will allow my 2nd graders the freedom to move while reading and working with me in the classroom. These "flexible" or varied seating options make learning fun and exciting and help little ones focus while in the classroom.

The chairs will be placed around my teacher table where I work with my students and they'll be able to sit on them while doing independent reading.

Imagine a student who has ADHD or Autism. It is sometimes difficult for them to sit in one spot for too long, but sitting in a chair that wobbles or bounces actually increases concentration.
