Flexible Seating for Growing Brains

My students need wobble stools and stability cushions in order to work and learn in a space where all learning styles are addressed.

My Students

My students are an imaginative and creative group of learners from diverse backgrounds in a rural town. We have a population of children with many different learning styles who benefit from differentiated instruction and engaging teaching strategies.

My energetic group of young learners are excited to learn and grow this year in a collaborative environment.

Giving them the opportunity to move, sway, and relax while they learn will have an enormous impact on their experience this year in the classroom.

My Project

We all learn in different ways and appreciate different learning environments! This project will provide multiple flexible seating options for students who may need to work in a variety of ways around the room. Not all students succeed when forced to sit at a desk all day.

Flexible Seating charges the students with self-selecting which form of seating helps them to focus and engage best.

This includes balance cushions, wobble stools, standing desks, or simply sitting on the floor with a comfy pillow. Because they will not have desks, each student will require book boxes to carry their school supplies.

Studies show that if kids have a chance to spread out and get comfortable, they will be able to put more effort in to their work!
