Teaching kindergarten is a wonderful and exciting experience and I am learning each day how to make it better and how to make the experience enjoyable for my students. Having a comfortable environment has been a huge part of the management and flow of the day in our classroom. My students love to be able to choose where they want to sit and the variety of options to choose from that makes learning most comfortable for them. Each student is different and their own individual and I believe that making the classroom a comfortable and safe place for them helps them to be more expressive and eager to learn.
For a lot of my students, this is their first experience of being in school so it is so important that it is memorable.
They come in each day excited about each new adventure and ready to take on the day! They love to create while learning and are very hands-on and interactive. They blow my mind each and every day!
The students will have a variety of seating options to fit their needs and to optimize their learning experience. The floor seats will provide a comfortable way to step away from the table and relax while reading a book and learning through technology on an iPad. They will also be able to access materials faster with more open storage methods using the bookshelves and have an organized system for our community supplies.
Imagine sitting at a table utilizing the table spots to write out your ideas, create images to boost your writing, or work out math problems without using the traditional paper and pencil method.
This introduces a new and exciting way of getting your thoughts out through writing. Not only will these items help boost the creativity in my students, but it will also give them the comfort they need to relax and learn!
