This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the pain points in my French classroom is the restrictions we have with our standard desks that have the attached chairs. Many of my students have ADHD, and sitting still for an hour or more is not in the cards (nor is it great for any of my students, no matter whether they have ADHD or not).
I would love to get stools that students can move around so that they can stay engaged in learning tasks throughout the day.
In addition to these stools, I have asked for a nice lamp that will replace a broken one in our room. We have an art area in the classroom that needs more organization, so I have asked for shelves to organize our papers.
Additionally, I have asked for snacks to supplement the current offerings I have. I like to give out a snack for prizes for class games, and it's good to have them on hand for students who are inevitably hungry throughout the day.
