My Students
In the PLC we are proud of our 2 mottos - 'spread kindness like confetti' and 'play nice, work hard, stay kind'. Our classroom is comprised of nine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students with a variety of intellectual and learning disabilities. While learning is a struggle for these students, every day we embrace what makes each one of us unique and tackle every task with positivity.
Resilience, determination, perseverance, and positivity are just a few words that describe the incredible students in our classroom.
They give 110% in everything they do, each and every day. Teaching children to love learning is the best gift, for if they love learning they will never stop. Our students are proof of just how powerful that love of learning can be. Providing these students with the necessary tools to assist in their learning will make such an impact on their school day.
My Project
Our classroom is comprised of 9 diverse learners with unique special needs. These students struggle to sit still which impacts their ability to attend to and complete tasks. Currently in our classroom we have traditional chairs and a few stools for students to use while working.
Incorporating various seating options to meet our students' unique needs not only impacts how they learn, it also creates a positive learning environment that fosters collaboration and interaction amongst them.
The Safco Products Zenergy Ball chairs will greatly benefit the students who struggle to sit still while working. It will promote better posture, increase focus, and allow students to move discreetly without distracting other students.
This morning one of our students came in and said, "I love working in the PLC...it is always so happy and I love learning here!" Our goal is to make our room a safe, happy place for our students to learn. Providing students with the necessary tools, such as ball chairs, will undoubtedly make every student in our room feel the same way.
