My students are creative, clever, and very spontaneous.
They like to move, they love to read, and math is one of their favorite subjects.
Many of them are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Even though we are a low-income school, that does not stop these students. Our students have pride in our school and it shows! I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My students need a few more items to help complete our flexible classroom.
Kids love to be comfortable while learning.
Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where they work and with whom. It also allows them to change their location and positions as needed.
My students will benefit from the high stool chairs while diving into their math games online. The bungees, Big Joe, and butterfly chairs will allow them a completely relaxing environment while getting lost in a book or writing a unique story.
These flexible seating options will allow kids to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength. In turn, this will burn more calories and increases metabolism while keeping their young minds more alert and focused.
