My students need Flexible seating options in the classroom to allow them to move around and be more comfortable. We need stools and balancing balls. The traditional seating does not invite students to be themselves and move around.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My math lab is a place where students will come to explore in depth their own thinking about math and the deeper meaning of what they are working on. They will have the chance in a small group to work together and extend their depth of knowledge with each other.
I teach at a Title 1 school in Arizona where all our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
They take pride in finding patterns and having a growth mindset and they are not afraid of failing.
My Project
My classroom only serves small groups of students for advanced math and intervention. These seating options will help set a comfortable and inviting environment where students will feel free to explore their thoughts and ideas. They will be eager to come to class due to the environment.
Students and I often fidget and move around when we are thinking.
These chairs will help make my classroom one step closer to a room where student want to come and learn and give them an option that is not traditional. These students need different modalities to learn a concept and that includes a great place to sit.
