My students need flexible seating options to optimize their learning experience.

My Students
I am currently teaching second grade at a Title I Primary School in a small South Carolina town. My students come from various ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds. Some of them are considered at-risk students because they are below grade level in reading or math. They are some of the sweetest 8 and 9 year olds you can ever teach, and all work hard!
We all know that kids do not learn the same way.
They need their own space and the flexibility of seating options to optimize their learning experience.
My Project
Last school year I was successfully funded to get tables to use in my classroom. This was my first step in implementing flexible seating. My kids loved the table options, so I am ready to try out more options. If you think about when you're at home or at work all day, you don't sit in the same seat all day long, right? Of course not! We get uncomfortable and are able to readjust. So, why don't we give our students the same options throughout the school day? I am asking for an Adjustable Folding Utility Table, two Gaiam Balance Balls, two Wobble Cushions, two Balance Discs, a Pillow Cushion, four garden knee mats, two sets of Bouncy Bands for Desks and twelve Clipboards.
Flexible seating has been proven to help my students learn because they are more comfortable during their learning times.
I am asking for several different types of additional seating and some materials, like clipboards, that my students will need. As I previously said, I was granted some tables last school year. Two of these tables are floor level, so I am requesting some kneeling pads to make those tables more comfortable. I am also requesting a tall table for my students who prefer to stand while working. Stability balls, a yoga pillow, and a wobble cushion are also being requested within this project. These seating options will give my students more flexibility and comfort throughout the day. Finally, I am requesting desk bands for those students who do prefer tradition seating, but need a little something to fidget with to keep their attention on their work.
Students will be given options each day on where to sit. They will be able to move if they feel it is best for their learning. Not only will this implementation help aid to each individual students, but it will also teach them self-awareness and responsibility.
