My Students

My students are creative, funny, and full of energy. They do a wonderful job of making sure I am doing okay as a person, but am doing my job as teacher by keeping me on my toes. The students I teach are a mixed bag of emotions. They feel everything, to the fullest extent. Many of them come from low-middle class income families who want to help and be involved as they can, but unfortunately can't always make things work.

I know that many kids deserve an environment where they feel safe; my mission is to also cultivate an environment that they can grow, play and enjoy their experience as a student.

My Project

With these materials, my students can have the opportunity to learn in an environment that they feel they have control over. Flexible seating allows students to feel that they have choice over what they are doing, as well as allowing them to create a space for themselves to complete tasks.

The bounce bands will help some of my more active kiddos work while getting some of their energy out.

The wobble seats will help keep some of my sensory based learners stay on task. The bean bag chairs and table will help create extra choice seating in the classroom for choice.
