My Students

My students are fifth graders who are eager to learn. They are all served through the special education program. Our classroom is made up of several military families and a variety of family backgrounds.

I strive each and every day to help my students feel at home in our classroom.

I want my students to know they can achieve anything they put their minds to, and I will be there to support them each step of the way. We celebrate academic achievements every day!

My Project

Step into our classroom! We solve math digital escape rooms, get cozy with a good book to foster a love of reading, and set our academic goals as high as the sky. Our Harry Potter-themed classroom is filled with rolling ball chairs, crate seats, wiggly disks, and a treehouse inside our Forbidden Forest. Although these seating options are perfect for some lessons, they can make learning more challenging in other lessons.

Portable lap desks will provide the movement my students require while also providing the support they need to write.

The hard surface will help make solving math equations and writing essays easier as they move around the classroom to tackle new learning adventures. Individual whiteboards will allow the students more support as they work hard to accomplish success in the classroom.

As a special education teacher, flexibility is a requirement in our classroom. Movement is not only allowed, it is encouraged. I see the benefits of flexible seating inside our classroom every day as I watch my students accomplish their learning goals by feeling comfortable in our classroom, but we need your support to continue to provide the most beneficial working environment inside our classroom.
