Engaging, tech-savvy, creative, and persistent are words that describe my 7th grade English and reading students. They love the challenge of new ideas and projects in class while working individually and as teams to accomplish new goals.
Over the past two years I have incorporated tables into my classroom to offer a variety of seating choices for my students.
Learning how to work in groups on diverse projects and collaborate as a team really gets my students ready for twenty-first century learning. From pair-share activities daily to reading novels in groups, offering different seating for my variety of students is helping to improve their academic achievement.
Personalized learning is becoming more and more prevalent in school systems, and I want to give my students the opportunity to feel both comfortable and work at their best ability while reading and writing in my classroom.
My Project
Individualized learning is hitting the classroom at full speed. Research has proven that through offering different learning environments, students grow leaps and bounds within a school year. By choosing a specific seat, students will be able to be in their element in my classroom. I would like to strive to give my seventh grade Reading and English students more options when it comes to the environment in which they learn.

By offering flexible seating to my English and Reading students, they can be comfortable while they learn to write research papers, poetry, narrative essays, creative writing, and more.
