This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 1st grade students are very energetic and they require the ability to move and be comfortable in any corner of our classroom like be cozy and work, sit on the carpet comfortably, or just by sitting in their own chair with a cushion. This will all be possible with a floor pillow, a wobble chair and some chair straps.

It is difficult to maintain students' attention or engage them in higher level learning.

I am trying to meet my kids where they are by creating a warm, comfortable environment with flexible seating, thus the floor seats and adjustable floor chairs. All of us don't learn the same way; neither do children. I am looking forward to partnering with you to bring my students a hands-on, wiggle-friendly, safe environment in which their foundation will be one that's unbreakable!
