This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First graders are wiggly, and traditional school chairs don't work for a lot of them. This makes it hard for them to control their bodies and do their best learning.
Having options for flexible seating will help my students learn in a way that is best for their bodies.
We need wiggle stools, balance balls, and wiggle cushions. Students will have the option to rotate to different types of seating at their table to see what works best for them. Having a class set of clipboards will also make it easier for students to work on the rug or on the move.
