Flexible Seating for Fabulous First Graders
Help me give my students flexible seating options that will keep them focused and motivated!
Teaching first grade is my passion. Some of my first graders, unfortunately, come from challenging backgrounds with things no child should ever encounter. Many students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Some come to school in the dead of winter with no hats or mittens. No matter what their situation is at home, my first graders are still so eager and excited to learn new things. They all deserve the best education and that is my ultimate goal each and every day.
My first grade students work incredibly hard throughout the day. We do activity breaks throughout the day to help get their wiggles out and keep them focused and motivated to learn. Some students would prefer to stand at their desks just to move a little bit.
These Hokki stools will help transform stationary work time into an activity.
The stools actually move while the students work, allowing them to get some energy out while staying engaged and on task. These will come in handy during center time and independent work time for those students in need of some type of movement.
