This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Covid really changed the way our students operate and learn. After being virtual for a semester and then hybrid for a semester, I worked on getting flexible seating last year for my students who were not used to sitting in chairs all day anymore. I now have a variety of chair options, including three of these stools that I call the ab chair. It is by far one of their favorite types of chairs! It has really been helpful for students who are still figuring out how to adapt to being in school again. This year I have more students, so I need a couple more chairs so they can all have a chair that meets their needs.
I would love to give my students some more comfortable seating options that would allow them to fidget a little as they work.
These ab stools allow them to spin a little as we learn. This helps meet their sensory and wiggle needs without distracting their classmates!
