My students need flexible seating for comfort and collaboration. These seats will be shared across 2 homerooms and benefit 64 kids.

My Students

My kids are the BEST!! They are thoughtful, passionate learners. They come to school everyday excited to learn and ready to work hard. They come from all over the city to our Magnet school and make up a diverse group of learners. HSA kids are interesting and interested in those around them. My students ask deep questions and wont rest until the find their answers. They work together towards solutions not only at our school but world around us. Together we have an amazing community of learners that support each other.

My Project

Let's keep the focus on what's really important: the students. Student motivation and higher engagement is truly the desired end game so we as teachers must adapt right along with our students in our classrooms. My students don't know life without constant connectivity, wi-fi, and a global audience. Outside the windows of our classroom is a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing world full of choices. How can we expect our students to solve problems and make choices independently if we constantly solve their problems and make their choices for them?

Our classroom environments should be conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

These seats will allow our 4th grade students to have more choice in their seating in the classroom!
