Help me give my students flexible seating options such as reading pillows, wobble chairs, and wobble cushions to help them be comfortable and enhance focus during the school day.
I teach in a first grade ICT classroom, which has students with and without academic and physical disabilities. These students live in a low-income district and most receive free or reduced cost lunch. Most of our students have different learning styles and preferences. Some like to complete their work at the tables while other students like to learn in different places in the room.
My classroom has a range of students with different disabilities and learning styles and my hope is to provide them with the resources they need to be successful and to love learnings much as I love teaching!
My Project
These flexible seating options will enhance my students ability to stay focused and ultimately support their individual needs. I would like to be able to provide my students with flexible seating options so that they can sit in different locations around the room and be comfortable. This will help all students in my classroom to be able to learn to the best of their ability. Specifically, those with disabilities who struggle to sit still or require modified seating will benefit from flexible seating options in the room.
My hope is to receive wobble chairs, wobble cushions, bean bags, and floor cushions in order to provide flexible seating for my students and to give them a range of options depending on their needs.
