My Project
I would love to expand the flexible seating options available to my students in order to better serve their individual needs. Virtual learning impacted students in so many ways including self-awareness on how they best learn. I've always noticed that many students seemed uncomfortable in the standard desk and chair setting, but it seems even more prevalent now.
Providing flexible seating options that allow movement and adjustment in my students' working positions will increase focus and result in more productivity in their learning.
Giving students options beyond sitting at their desk, such as using a standing desk, sitting on a yoga chair, or sitting on a wiggle seat will empower my students. These resources will help my students make seating choices based on their own learning needs. Having flexible seating in my classroom reflects the type of learning environment that I want to provide for my students.
