Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning how to build their reading skills and all of the ways it can help them in their future. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My school is a Title 1 magnet school with students who are passionate about learning.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of excitement and drive. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside of the box to find solutions!
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to easily pair up, work in small groups, have better engagement, and creates a comfortable learning environment. Many flexible seating options stimulate students' senses. This type of stimulation can help children focus and process information.
In my classroom, students are motivated to work with a partner or in groups.
With flexible seating, students have the freedom to move around the class to select a space that's most comfortable for them to stay engaged. Students also have time to read individually. during that time, students are encouraged to find a great reading space in the room. Flexible seating is very helpful to help students stay stimulated while reading independently.
