My Students

I am a first year teacher at a new Title 1 school. I am so thrilled and grateful to have the opportunity to teach 2nd grade! Our mission is to challenge minds and create lifelong learners through a collaborative community that prepares every child for a successful future. The vision for our students is that they will be respectful, responsible, prepared, problem solvers at school and within the community.

It’s going to be a great year full of new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries.

We are all family. I value my students' ideas, thoughts, and actions. They will bring so much to our class and I can’t wait to give them everything they need to succeed!

My Project

Over the years I have used many different strategies to motivate and excite my students. I have chosen wobble stools for this project to allow my second graders opportunities to wiggle and move as much as they need. Students will be thrilled to use these stools while learning.

Research shows that student performance increases in a classroom where flexible seating is offered.

My students will be able to focus on the most important things going on in the classroom. It allows students more opportunities to be actively engaged, provides an active outlet without disrupting learning, encourages a sense of community, and helps students develop into independent, confident learners!
