Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These seating options will provide my students with choices in where they can sit within the classroom to help them focus and calm their bodies down. The students in my class struggle with emotional and physical regulation and require assistance, whether it be through the use of fidgets or movement breaks throughout the school day. These specific seats will give my students the chance to have their sensory needs met as they're learning in one-to-one and full-class group settings. Also, when a dysregulated student needs a break, they can sit in or use one of these items to help them refocus and be ready to learn.
