My Project
I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping me provide flexible seating options for my 3rd grade classroom. We’re looking to add wobble stools, regular stools, and ottomans for our weekly center rotations, which include activities in reading, social studies, and science. These centers are vital for providing personalized, small-group instruction, and having flexible seating will make a huge difference in how my students engage with the material. Small groups allow me to meet each student’s needs and help them grow academically, and with comfortable, varied seating options, they will be more focused and motivated during these important sessions.
Each week, students rotate between different learning activities, where they work in small groups to explore new concepts, collaborate, and dive deeper into subjects.
Flexible seating will allow my students to choose the spot that helps them concentrate best—whether it’s a wobble stool for those who benefit from movement or a more stable seat for those who prefer stillness. This kind of choice encourages responsibility and helps my students feel more in control of their learning, which is especially important during hands-on activities like science experiments or group discussions in social studies.
