Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These flexible (swivel) chairs will be used throughout the school day. These chairs will be beneficial for the groups of students I work with who are classified as having ADHD, Autism, or Learning Disability.

The chair's ergonomic and adjustable height design is the ideal chair for my students.

The students I work with are from varying age groups, sizes, and heights. I am a service provider who provides SETSS. This service enables my students to access the general education curriculum. Thus, the advantage of using these chairs. They will not only provide comfort and posture support but will allow for the students to adjust the chairs based on their height and thus adapting to their comfort and needs. This helps to promote an enhanced learning.

Additionally, the chair's ability to swivel and roll will help in enhancing and promoting an optimal learning environment, students will be better engaged and thus decrease fidgeting/restlessness among some students. Also, it will address sensory issues as it will provide a calming sensory stimulation, reduce anxiety, and thus bring about greater class participation.

Furthermore, in using the chair, students will be able to have smoother transitions between different learning activities, such as whole/small groups, shifting positions, and configure seating arrangement because of its mobility.

Help my students to access these chairs as we would like to strengthen and promote a greater classroom engagement, focus/concentration, decrease restlessness, and provide sensory stimulation to optimize educational success.
