Help me give my students cushions, saucer chairs, and other flexible seating! I am a new teacher and my students went through the pandemic and are currently struggling to sit through lessons. They have asked for flexible seating.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating is a great idea for students with disabilities, or even attention span issues. Right now, students can choose where they'd like to work, and that curbs any negative behaviors we may see.

I plan to use the flexible seating by letting the kids choose how they want to learn that day.

Do your best thinking in a rocking chair? Great! Want just a cushion to help you sit on your bottom and read? Excellent. Taking away the distractions would help us to focus during silent reading and whole group instruction.
