This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Helping students gain confidence to share their ideas can be a daunting task. The classroom environment could make a world of difference to help students find that comfort level needed for cooperative learning. Tables and chairs would help create this environment and provide a welcoming experience to third grade.
Flexible seating will allow for student engagement.
When students are provided the opportunity to engage with other students, language development is key. My school has a high percentage of English language learners, and providing opportunities for language will allow them the time to practice these skills. Flexible seating creates a setting that is easy to move around in and work with different students throughout the day.
