Help me give my students flexible seating to use during small groups. I previously did another flexible seating project and got cushions for my Guided Reading table and the students are really excited to use them and read.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being in a low income school, I try to provide my students with a classroom environment where they feel comfortable and can move around. They are great students who unfortunately have limited resources based on the community we come from.
These materials will help them have flexible areas to use during their reading intervention time and silent reading activities.
I currently only have one flexible seating area and they love it! With these cushions they will be able to read around the classroom rather than stay on their seats all day.
