This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Now, more than ever, the work we do in the counseling classroom is vital to the social-emotional health of our students. New flexible seating will help create a comfortable, inviting space for students to share and grow together as they are re-learning how to be students in a traditional school environment.
Flexible seating that is comfortable, durable and easy to clean is necessary for us to continue the work we do in our counseling classroom.
My students are currently sitting on carpet squares that are falling apart at the seams! I am requesting new cushions and a beanbag that can be wiped clean for our students to use as they participate in counseling lessons, restorative circles, and other social-emotional learning activities.
