My Project

Flexible seating improves student engagement and when given choices students become more willing to focus on the tasks assigned. When students are given the opportunity to take charge of where and how they learn, their overall attitude towards learning improves.

Flexible seating enables my students to choose a learning environment that adapts to their individual learning styles.

They almost always are more engaged and get more work done than when sitting at traditional desks/chairs. It also decreases disruptive behaviors and increases on-task behaviors. The items I've chosen will provide increased options and improve the overall classroom environment with the flexible seating and fluorescent light shades that lessen eye strain. Choice can have a positive effect on my students' work and behaviors and I hope that the additional options will help them learn and adapt even more.
