My students need sturdy seating options to move their active bodies. I teach 8th grade ELA - a lot of reading and writing - which means a lot of sitting still. That's really hard!

My Students
8th grade is the best! My 8th graders come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our school is a Title 1 school. We're a suburban community that pulls students from a wide range of neighborhoods.
My 8th graders are on the edge between childhood and adulthood; they are so ready to soar.
In middle school, each day brings them closer to discovering who they're going to be. Each day gives them an opportunity to grow into responsible, respectful adults.
My Project
My classroom is a place where students can discover who they are, and who they want to be through reading and writing. I teach 8th grade language arts. In my class students read a lot and write a lot. These activities require a lot of sitting still, which is very hard for some students.
I would love to provide my class some sturdy seating options that will allow them to move and not distract others while they work.
I have a mix of desks, tables, and standing desks for my students to choose where they can focus best. I need seating that will be durable, able to move to different locations, and quiet. These chairs will help my students focus their energy on reading and writing!
