This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are active learners who take charge of their learning journey. Having flexible seating in my classroom will empower my students to choose where and how they sit, encouraging their sense of ownership over their learning environment and improving focus and engagement. Students feel more invested in their learning when they have a say in where and how they sit, leading to greater engagement.

In addition, flexible seating can accommodate different learning preferences, making it easier for students to focus on their work and reduce distractions

Having flexible seating options like carpets, stools, beanbag chairs, ball seats, and chair bands in my classroom will foster a sense of community by encouraging interaction and collaboration among students during group projects and small/large group discussions.
