This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students enjoy working cooperatively and display great creativity. Parents continually seek the best possible educational opportunities for their children. Additionally, I believe children benefit from experiences that include discovery, exploration, awakening curiosity, and an appreciation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

My students are highly active learners that need flexibility from the traditional seating available in my classroom.

Their attention spans are quite short, and their bodies are extremely active. Research has shown allowing students to fidget and move through different seating options engages students' brains in more active learning during classroom whole group, small group, and independent daily learning activities.

Having a variety of different seats like the Floor Pillows, Yoga Ball Chairs, Flex-Space Washable Comfy Floor Seat, Active Seat Peanut Shaped Bounce Desk Chair and the Surf Portable Lap Desk will help students sit comfortably for prolonged periods of time and the same time stay active while learning

.

During whole-group activities, for example, a story read-aloud time or circle time, students will be able to pay attention for a longer period and increase their comprehension of the story while seated on these comfortable variety of seats.
