Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This is my first year at my school and I’m so excited to teach literacy and social studies to my students, many who are ESL. My curriculum just changed from reading to social studies. I will be teaching two different grade levels( 4th and 5th). Our classroom needs centers for the literacy library and to inspire students to dive into history. Because this is a new school location for me, an older classroom, and a new grade level we are in drastic need of materials, a library, headphones, and flexible spaces. I can’t wait to share photos with you once we begin using our supplies. You will see my class enjoying the contents of their centers.

My Project

The wobble seats from Lakeshore Learning furnished for my special needs class will be perfect to keep my students on task during class time. It is often difficult for some of my students to stay still for an entire class learning period. These wobble seats allow for movement without distraction during instructional time. Thank you for allowing for flexible seating for students with alternate learning styles.By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will increase my student’s academic achievement. I cannot wait to share photos of my students in their new wobble seats in the coming school year!!!
