My Students

I am beyond lucky to teach 33 - yes 33 - amazing, bright, loud, fun, sarcastic 6th graders. Every day we laugh together, and learn together. My class loves technology, music, and art based learning but often find it difficult to learn with the old desks we have.

My Project

If you've ever met a pre-teen, you know they are always moving! The desks in my classroom are beat up, and our chairs don't fit underneath them. This project allows my students to have new flexible seating workspaces to complete project based learning. Students will now be able to choose new seats and interact with content in new ways.

Collaboration is very important in my classroom.

Flexible seating will allow students to work in groups more comfortably. Seven of our desks have broken this year. A new place to work will allow work to be completed and hopefully enjoyed.
