My Students

My students are a group of young men and women looking to explore more of school. They're very passionate and knowledgeable about many different subjects in school and out of school. In my classroom I invite the students to learn in research, hands-on, and self-taught ways.

The school we call home is a school with a very low-income families who cannot always afford to send their students with supplies, so the teachers and staff help in as many ways as possible.

My students are kids who have big dreams of succeeding in this world and they are not afraid to go out and take life by the horns!

My Project

Flexible seating is the ability to let the students make the decision on where they are going to sit around the classroom based on what is best for them. The traditional way of desks in a row does not work for the students and makes it more difficult for some of the students to learn.

Flexible seating has been proven to help with blood flow and oxygen flow to the brain.

Giving the students the opportunity to begin advocating for themselves and their education is such a powerful thing. Choice is something that many students do not see in the classroom, so help me give it back!
