My Students
Each day, bright, shining faces come into the classroom eager to expand their minds.Their natural curiosity is astounding. My students love learning about everything. I love teaching them, but I also love learning with them. They are eager to consume knowledge and I have the privilege of guiding their curiosity in a way that urges them to learn about and explore the world around us.
My students are also kind, funny, confident, and tender-hearted.
They love being with each other and supporting each other through successes and challenges. I am encouraged by their perseverance and strive to provide them with a fun, safe, and meaningful learning environment.
My Project
My diverse class has diverse learning styles, backgrounds and needs. In order to provide them with the best learning opportunities I can, I am requesting lap desks, floor seats, wiggle seats and bands, and silencing headphones. Students often need specific types of seating to be successful when doing their work.
I am trying to provide an environment that maximizes their learning potential and this means incorporating seat choices so that students feel comfortable and confident in their work space.
The ability to choose a seat that works for you, in a spot that works for you, and learn in a way that works for you, is invaluable. During these stressful times caused by COVID, we should all have a place where we feel comfortable and successful.
