My students need alternative places to sit in class. Ball-Seats and a couch will provide more comfortable options to work.

My Students
As an elementary literacy teacher, I have two classes of third grade students. Throughout the day, about 45 students come to my class for reading and writing.
My students live in South Seattle and go to one of the most diverse schools in the most diverse area in the country.
There are more than 20 languages represented in our school, with many students coming from East African and Asian countries. We are a school community that regularly celebrates all of the many cultures that are present in our classrooms.
My Project
How does sitting at a desk all day sound? Not great, right? But that's exactly what we ask kids to do all the time in school. For 9 and 10 year olds (or anyone, really), that is almost impossible. Flexible seating options will provide students with a more comfortable work environment.
Allowing students comfortable seating and options to move is critical to ability to focus.
I'm asking for ball chairs and a couch that students will be able to use in class. My hope is that students will be able to focus on their work while also being able to meet the need to move that comes with being a kid.
More than half of students from low‑income households
