My Students

Our classroom has 11 students who love learning in different ways. A typical day in our classroom involves students working in small groups and partners in all subjects. My students love working with each other, and thrive off of collaboration. When my students are engaged in hands-on activities this helps to make learning more meaningful and passionate.

We love to be able to sit, stand, and everything in between while learning.

First graders can be a wiggly bunch! In order to keep them engaged, I would like to try flexible seating.

My Project

My students are currently using normal plastic student chairs that are very uncomfortable. The students tend to lean back on the chairs, which is very unsafe. These new stools will be a safe and fun way for my students to sit at their tables and be able to use movement at the same time. I already know that my students will be eager to use the wobble chairs. I am hoping that once I test out the chairs, I will be able to order enough for the entire class. First Graders are a very active group and this will be a great way for them to improve their learning!
