I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district. Our school district provides free breakfast, snack, and lunch to all students.
I believe that ALL students can learn, and it is the job of the teacher to inspire students to achieve great things.
I teach in the same small, close-knit community school that I once attended as a young child and my students amaze me everyday! My students come to school ready to learn, despite many challenges they may face. They always try their best and this motivates me to do the same.
My Project
These flexible seating options will allow students to be more comfortable and focused on their class work. Having flexible seating options will give students voice and choice. In addition, it will offer many more genuine opportunities for collaboration.
Many students in the class have a difficult time sitting still in the traditional desk chair.
These options will allow each student to be able to choose a seat that will best help them to focus and work to their best potential. Using flexible seating in the classroom gives students a chance to be in a personalized, collaborative learning environment that’s based on the modern world.
