Our class consists of 20 amazing 3rd-grade students who enjoy learning in all different types of settings. They are creative, inquisitive, hard-working, and eager to learn about the world around them, as well as themselves.
Students work as a team, encouraging each other to grow and explore our wonderful world.
Our school is a small district in Iowa with passionate teachers who are motivated to give their students opportunities that will make them successful in and out of the classroom.
My Project
Students need to be engaged in their learning activities but sometimes it's hard to sit in one spot for long. That is why we make an effort to change our learning environment throughout the day and week. Sometimes we sit in our seats, but other times we sit on the floor. We also have learning spaces available outside, which students love! However, the ground and classroom floor can be hard, and if we venture outside in the morning it can still be damp from the dew.
Mats would allow my adventurous students to move about inside or outside and still be comfortable so they can concentrate on their learning activities.
Having a classroom set of mats would allow all students the opportunity to participate comfortably each day. These mats are also easily cleaned each day. Thank you so much for supporting our class, making it easier and more comfortable for the students to travel around for their learning!
