I work at a Title I school right outside Atlanta with a very high English Language Learners population. My students love learning the English language. They come to me on all different levels, from just entering the country to students who are in their 5th year of American schools.
We are also the first STEAM-Certified School in the state of Georgia.
Our students love working together and exploring 21st century skills of Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Communication. It is amazing to watch students of all different levels working together successfully.
My Project
I have always wanted to have a room where my students are comfortable in different learning styles. I need a room that has flexible options to help prepare my students to work collaboratively and independently.
Flexible seating will provide a room that my students will never forget!
My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and giving them choice for their working environment will help engage students in learning, whether it is individual learning or in collaborative groups. Flexible seating also helps teach students independence and responsibility, two important skills for continued success in school and life. Thank you!
