I teach fifth and sixth graders at a rural school in southern Missouri. We are a Title I school with limited funding. Our district provides us with as much as they can to meet our needs, but sometimes they cannot fund every need for each teacher.
Classrooms that are student-centered are successful.
My students are eager to learn, motivated, and are truly some of the best students I've ever been around. My kids make me feel proud. At our elementary, we have one class per grade, and we are like one, big family.
Flexible Seating Fanatics is a project centered around my kids! I began flexible seating options in the spring of 2017. My classroom has experienced a wealth of positive feedback and an increased focus on learning because of flexible seating. Because of the increased success, I have decided it is time to add to our seating options.
The Runtz Ball Chair and the Sivan Back Balance Chair promote good health and provide better options for special needs.
These are two of the seating options that I can not wait to implement in my room! The chosen items on the list provide my kids with more than just a "seat." Flexible seating puts our kids in charge of their learning, and gives each child a chance to showcase his/her abilities.
