My students need flexible seating. The different shaped tables will benefit my students by helping them develop a sense of community among the students which improves their social skills. This will encourage collaboration in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students range from grades K-6 being that they are in a resource classroom. They come in everyday with a positive attitude, always trying their best knowing that there is no judgment when they walk into my room. Although it can be hard for some of my students to stay focused and engaged, they do enjoy movement and hands on activities when learning new topics.
My students are unique and receive the modifications needed to succeed.
This is the place where my students feel comfortable to learn and receive the small group teaching they need.
My Project
My students enjoy movement and for some of them it is hard for them to stay engaged when there isn't enough room for them to sit at a table. It can get uncomfortable for them when they feel as if they are on top of each other.
I would love the opportunity to offer my students flexible seating options that will provide them with more room starting with the different shaped tables.
The trapezoid tables will be used for differentiated learning activities and the kidney table will be used for my students who will need the extra small group help. This project will help my students stay engaged while learning. This will make for a comfortable learning environment and give my students the space they need.
