My Students
My third grade students are highly engaged in their learning. Many of them are English Learners. They come from many places around the world and have individual experiences that add to our classroom. I am constantly impressed by their willingness to try new things and to think outside the box. My class is thrilled for the idea of these additional seating options for different areas of the classroom that best meet their learning needs.
My school is full of great technology and hands-on learning experiences.
Students engage in a variety of activities that challenge them, including experiences on their Chromebooks.
My Project
Research shows that allowing students to sit in flexible seating options enhances student focus. With a fulfilled project, I would be able to offer my students a variety of seating options based on what they choose to best fit their needs. Students will now be able to use stools, wobble cushions, and lap trays to focus in the classroom and to collaborate with others. These options will allow them to become more comfortable, find a responsible working space and get the most out of classroom activities.
My students are very excited to get to choose their seating options.
This will lead to students having more choice and the ability to self-monitor as to whether or not their choice is effective for them
