Help me give my students flexible seating with adjustable stools and yoga ball chairs.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students come into class initially having lower confidence than similar students due to the challenges they have experienced in their young lives in their rural community in East Tennessee. Quickly, my students see the opportunities that education can provide for them. They work hard, want to please their teachers, and they want to be seen as valued and deserving students and people.
It is my goal to create a comfortable and active classroom culture for my students using flexible seating with matching funds.
As corporate and educational research shows, alternative seating options nurture academic achievement, build confidence, and foster a sense of community.
Flexible Seating allows students to feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment.
Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow and core strength and burns calories
Flexible seating environments can have a direct impact on student achievement, and comfortable students are engaged and productive.
Flexible seating encourages students to share space and supplies.
Flexible seating allows students to quickly and easily pair up, work in small groups, or discuss as a whole class.
Flexible seating uses new classroom management tools introducing higher-order thinking skills, like problem-solving, and emotional skills, like conflict resolution.
Many flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch that can help children focus and process information.
