This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal is to redesign students’ physical environment to create equitable learning conditions. Providing high school students with flexible seating will create a more personalized, dynamic, and positive environment where students can feel safe and in control of their learning experience. After fifteen months of learning from home, my wonderful students want to study in a homey environment.
Flexible seating will maximize their engagement, agency, sense of belonging, and focus during class.
Alternative seating can play a crucial role in students who have special needs, as it can lower their effective filters.
