My Students
My classroom is filled with hard working students, creative thinkers, and interested learners. The students in my class, work hard everyday and collaborate to share the most knowledge.
My class is very interactive and hands on.
We like to move from one activity to the next. We build, explore, create and learn all day, everyday. To maximize this type of learning, organization, readily accessible materials, and flexible seating are key to success.
Organized materials in the classroom help my second graders in a variety of ways. As a teacher, I am able to individualize my instruction to meet the needs of the highest to lowest learner by allowing students to access the materials they need at any given time. The students are able to build, create, and learn, easily and efficiently in a well stocked and organized classroom.
My Project
My students work hard everyday and like to move! We tackle 2nd grade standards through various projects and in comfortable work spaces. STEAM bins in my classroom are a class favorite. My students learn so much from creating, exploring, and manipulating materials. But, over time materials get used and need to be replenished. My students work in a classroom without desks. We have some tables and open work spaces. We have flexible seating and are always in need of more. My students love to find comfortable places to read and work on assignments. I hope to have this project funded and be able to bring more seating opportunities and STEAM materials to my classroom.
