My Students
My class begins every day with our class motto, a reminder that we succeed by being safe, kind, honest, and responsible while being part of a community of friends. Our school serves 700 students in suburban Salt Lake County and offers academic rigor, dual-language immersion, and fantastic, caring teachers.
My students need flexible seating options to help them exercise more choice in their learning environment and give each day some variety.
My goal is to help them succeed by learning to become decision-makers, passionate leaders, and critical thinkers!
My Project
Providing flexible seating options to my class will allow students the opportunity to have more choice in their learning environment. Additionally, students who benefit from more active learning will get to spend some of their energy bouncing, wiggling, or rocking in their new flexible seating options!
Math manipulatives will allow students to demonstrate their learning and will help them create concrete connections with math concepts.
Having different areas in my classroom will allow me to switch some locations of my direct instruction and provide students with a variety of areas to learn and give them some change from their desks throughout the day.
