Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are resilient, smart, patient, and kind. At a school in a small suburb of San Diego, the majority of my students are English language learners. Many of my students experience challenges meeting their basic needs at home. We focus on kindness, respect, and love in our classroom. My students love to support each other and grow their brains. All of my students have their own unique abilities and their own unique needs. Learning looks different for all students, but each one of my students works so hard.

My Project

Our flexible seating options will provide some of my wiggly students an opportunity to get the wiggles out without being disruptive to the other students in the room.

My students will benefit from seating options while they participate in small group work.

We are also working on thinking flexibly and learning about how our actions affect those around us. The kindness books pack will provide students with learning opportunities around understanding our actions and how kindness makes the world turn.

In a special education classroom, all of the students have different needs. The products that I have selected will help some of my neediest students access the education they deserve.
