This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love teaching first graders! It is such a growing year and I love teaching them to read! My students are special because they are hard workers, they are kind leaders, choose to speak life and take care of each other! Our classroom has a family atmosphere and this seating would help it feel even more like home! Also, at the school I teach, my kids are sometimes not afforded many extracurricular activities so having art supplies would allow them the creative outlet they need!

My Project

These supplies will help create a cozy learning atmosphere in my classroom by allowing student choice in where to sit and what materials to use for language arts, spelling, and reading lessons. The art supplies will be used to enhance student learning objectives and students creative skills. These items will create a cozy atmosphere in which to learn, grow & develop not only academically but also creatively! They will create an “at home” feel in the classroom that will benefit the types of students I teach & make them feel genuinely loved and cared for in a classroom that suits their individual needs!
