Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have been using flexible seating in my classroom for a while. I acquire a piece here and there each year. However, it has become clear that one of the fave chairs I have is a yoga ball on wheels with a seat back. I only have one, and it is coveted. I'd love to add two more to my classroom.
Additionally, I have grown a classroom library over the years for my students' independent reading.
A while back I read a tip suggesting I keep a bookshelf of young children's books so that my high school students could bring home books for their siblings or family members to read, too. This way, spreading the love and practice of reading time beyond the classroom. I have collected enough books for this, but now need some bookshelves to set it up.
I'd love your help bringing both of these visions to reality!
